As a communications tower industry veteran, Yannis Macheras brings extensive international experience to his current role as President of Parallel Infrastructure. Macheras is responsible for overseeing the company’s daily operations with a particular focus on growing the company’s telecommunications business nationwide. Prior to joining Parallel, he spent more than 15 years serving in diverse executive leadership positions at American Tower Corporation (AMT), and played a large part in helping to create a global leader in the wireless communications infrastructure industry. His successes with AMT include commencing a build-to-fill tower development program that resulted in AMT developing more than 2,000 towers in its early years. He oversaw the successful integration of AMT’s SpectraSite Communications (SSI) acquisition, served as a VP/GM with full P&L responsibility for managing over 20,000 towers, established and led the company’s nationwide rooftop business culminating in the acquisition of Global Tower Partners (GTP) in 2013, and oversaw new tower development in Latin America.
Macheras holds a JD from Tulane University and a BA from Columbia University.
